Favorite "snow day" recipe

For me there is nothing like spending a snow day at home cooking a good hearty meal...Usually it's soup of some kind or stew..Today it's Tomato Sauce with Country Style Pork Ribs ( I usually make a "pork" sauce when I make Tomato Sauce) and A Brisket....I just happened to have gone food shopping last night. Hence the bizarre combo...

Does anyone else like to do some SNOW DAY cooking??? What are your favorites????

years ago I used to make tons of muffins when it snowed.
Today I made red sauce with seafood for lent.
I did print out like 900 cupcake recipes though.

I asked b/c another one of my favorite snow day recipes is this Green Bean Soup that I make that is a recipe of my Great Grandmothers...who came here from Hungary...

Id love any traditional recipes that you have..or names of dishes that you make etc..

We basically do that soup, stuffed cabbage, goulash, and some baked goods that I dont know the name of.
