How long do i have to wait
the interview was on tuesday- they requested my references that day- i know they contacted my current supervisor yesterday-- i spoke to one of the interviewers on wednesday and said i would hear from him in a day or so-- the position is leave replacement starting as soon as possible--do they generally make a decision by the end of the week and contact whoever by monday??? i just want to know either way-- and if i dont hear anything by monday mornning should i call in the afternoon to follow up???

I know what you mean. I had my demo on Tuesday and haven't heard anything. I am guessing I didn't get it. But if they are contacting your references, I think you got it!

For a lot of teaching jobs, they only bother to check your references if they're going to give you the job. I think chances are pretty good you'll hear from them soon...
I don't think you need to chase them. If they want to give the job to you, you'll hear from them. Maybe you could shoot your interviewer a "thank you" email, so he/she knows you're around this afternoon?

Thanks..I sent a thank you email the day i sent them my references--so i guess i have to go through the whole weekend wondering- the feedback sounds positive- keep the good luck vibes coming my way--
