Beginning Steps
once I do decide to go off birth control, I should start to chart right? i cant do this while on bc right? How would I go about doing this. Also, are you supposed to bd on the day you ovulate. Sorry, im a little confused with all of this!

Don't appologize, all are very intelligent questions.
I wouldn't chart during birth control pills because that is controlled by synthetic hormones and not what your body would do on it's own.
As soon as you come off, and get AF, you can start taking your temps at the same time every morning with a basal body thermometer. I suggest buying the book taking charge of your fertility by toni weschler , it's the fertility bible and will explain so much to you.
You can bd, a few days before ovulation, (about 2-3 days before and still conceive, some say 5 days before but that's an ideal world ) the day you ovulate can work, and even the morning after you have ovulated. Basically, you ovulate when a mature follicule ruptures. The egg can live about 12-24 hours hanging around your fallopian tube....if sperm comes in while it's there, then fertilization may occur :)
