Re: Pork Roast

I have a "roast" feature on my convection oven. I use the probe and let it cook until the internal temp is 170-degrees. I coat it in some salts, pepper, garlic, etc. I serve it with a jelly sauce I make.

Re: Pork Roast

rosemary and garlic IMO go great with pork.

Mix 2 tbls chopped fresh rosemary and a few cloves chopped fresh garlic, a little olive oil. make enough to cover the meat

clean the pork and rub the mixture on

cook in a high oven 400 until done

If I'm making it really special, I use this recipe - the sauce can be made the day before

pork with a port fig reduction sauce

I usually coatthe outside with salt, pepper and garlci powder, then cook it at 350 for 45-60 minutes or until the juice run clear. (Stick a large fork in it, and if the jusice that comes out of the holes is clear - it's done!)

Re: Pork Roast

I saute one chopped apple in about 1 tsp of butter and then make a box of stovetop stuffing and mix in the apple and a little bit of maple syrup.

Slice the pork roast like jellyroll and fill with the stuffing and roll back up.
Sprinkle with salt & pepper and bake at 400 for about 30-45 minutes. In the last few minutes of cooking I drizzle on a little more maple syrup. So good! Chat Icon

Re: Pork Roast

I coat it with a mixture of Dijon Mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, and garlic..then cook it at 350 until internal temp is 150 Degrees..take it out of the oven and cover it with foil to rest for 10 minutes before carving..Comes out nice and juicey.

Pork no longer has to be cooked to death. The new guidelines are to cook pork til a temp of 145 Degrees. (The parasite it killed at 137 Degrees) I cook to 150 to allow for variations in the meat thermometer.
