So sad this week. I miss my Mom.
This coming Friday marks the 6 year anniversary of my mom's passing. I'm not sure why but it seems so much harder this year than it did the previous years. I'm not sleeping well, my appetite is gone, and I cry at the drop of a hat. I just don't understand it. I thought it was supposed to get easier as time went on, not reverse and get harder, know what I mean?

I see you have a young son. Maybe that's why it's harder this year. Being a mother now maybe bringing up more memories of the time you spent with your mom.

 Next month makes 2 years since I lost my mom and I totally understand how you feel. Now that I have DS it hurts even more especially since she never got to see him.

Next week is 5 years ago that I lost my mom and I thought it was supposed to get easier as time goes on, and maybe everyday life does, but the birthdays, anniversaries and holidays seem to remain difficult.
I am so sorry about your loss and will keep you and your mom in my prayers.
I hope that between the tears you can find small moments of joy where you feel her presence in your life.

I thank all of you for your support. It means so much and really helps. Yesterday was a very hard day but it helped that DH and DS were both home with me because of the snow. It may sound dumb but I kind of think it was my Mom's way of making sure I wasn't alone, like she knew what I needed, if that makes sense.

i'm so sorry. i'm just a few months ahead of you (my mom passed a little over 6 1/2 years ago) so i know how you feel. some times will always be harder than others - or at least they are to me. We've been put in a tough and unfair situation, and the grieving process is ongoing. i hope you feel better soon. FM me anytime you like.

I lost my dad 2 yrs ago and I also am very sad that I have a child that never knew my dad. It toally stinks but these precious kids are what gets ya through it.
