PLEASE HELP!!!!
I am 26 weeks pregnant and I went for a sonogram on Thursday and I was told by the technician that everything looked fine, baby looked great etc. Today I get a phone call from my doctor saying that he sees something that may be called an amniotic band although he is not sure, so he is sending me for a more intense sono at Winthrop. He said that it could be nothing but he wants to make sure. Has anyone ever heard of this before? These doctors can make you crazy.

I never heard of that before but I just wanted to tell you that several of my friends were scared that something might have been wrong with their pregnancies and everything turned out fine. I hope everything is fine and they don't keep you waiting long to let you know that.

I don't know anything about it, but I just found a lot of info on Google about it. But before you worry too much, wait until your next sono, a lot of times doctors *think* they see something and really there is nothing wrong.

Well that is just it, he kept saying I think and it may not be, so when I called him back he said they were just taking precaution and wanted to do a more detailed sono. I am sure he is just taking precaution.

Doctors always do this, and it's good, they should do this kind of thing. I'd much rather my doctor be overly cautious, it makes me feel better and feel like they are on top of everything.
For now, just think of it as another great chance to see your baby  I hope everything is just fine too.

I am hoping everything is ok with you and your little bean!! I know it is hard not get worried and nervous but as the others have said alot of times the Doc thinks they see somthing and they don't!! Look at it this way you get a really good look at your precious little angel!!! Please stay positive and I'm all goes well for you!!!
