Prayers Please UPDATE
I just got home...
I dont know what happened...
But my neighbor, DHs best friend, was in a Motorcycle accident...
I dont have any details but someone hit him while he was on his bike...
Everyone is at the hospital now...
Please say a prayer for Jay...

UPDATE:
He's pretty banged up..I still dont have the details of the accident but he's suffering quite a few broken bones and I want to say a shattered pelvis..no internal injuries that they can tell. He is having surgery tonight (not sure what exactly)...But he is going to be OK....just going to be out of commission for quite awhile.

Thank goodness yes....
We are still waiting for him to get into surgery...
He still broke his nose and has a concussion but he wouldnt still be here if he hadnt been wearing his helmet...
347 was closed yesterday in Nesconset b/c of the accident...
An elderly women made a U turn cutting him off and she literally pulled out into on coming traffic and STOPPED. Had it been a car SHE would of been a goner.

Concussion? Nose broken? Yikes! Please let the family know to have him evaluated for a head injury. Sometimes CT scans don't show the whole picture.
I hope he comes out as good as new.

Thanks..they are on top of it..they were really concerned b/c the accident was pretty bad...there are pictures of it on Newsday.com (the caption kind of irritated me b/c he was going 45 in a 55 mpr and the paper put "high rate of speed"..you dont have to be going that fast on a bike to get really hurt)...he also has a broken hip, ribs, collar bone, wrist, fractured femur, broken or shattered pelvies and cracked vertebrae.
