2 Free Female Cats...
Please Help.. I must rehome my girls... There are 5 yr old sisters who are both declawed and spayed. I have been searching for a good home for months now to no avail. Does anyone know where I can bring them that will not put them down.

Try Bide-a-wee in wantagh. I don't know if they take owner surrenders, but they are a no kill shelter.

You can also try the Freeport animal shelter. They have great enclosures for cats instead of little cages. Maybe they would take them if you gave a donation?

I do not recommend surrending your cats to the Freeport shelter. I know many animal advocates who believe that they are still a kill shelter that uses a gas chamber.

BId a wee in wantagh is also a no kill shelter, but they told a friend of mine that after 2 months if no one adopts, they give it to the shelter next door which is not non kill!

I have heard this too. They don't kill them but sometimes give them to a place that does. Don't know if it is true. Kent Animal Shelter in Riverhead is a no kill.

OMG! A GAS CHAMBER?? That's just awful.
Take them to Little Shelter in Huntington. I adopted my dog there, and they are a no kill shelter. The atmosphere is wonderful there as well.
