Broken Toe

So my 1st day in Cayman I decided it would be fun to kick a piece of coral the size of a tennis ball. Ok, I actually wasnt looking where I was walking on the beach and kicked the fing thing. From that point on my toe was swollen and purple and VERY painful. I am assuming I broke it. It happened on 2/15 and that sucker STILL hurts. It is no longer funny colors and is the size of the other ones I own but I can not bend it and if I were a Ballerina I would be out of a job. Anyone ever break one?? How long till I am healed?

OMG, I just had mine x-rayed last night! I dropped a granite plaque on my big toe and the one next to it on Monday morning. I couldn't put ANY weight on my foot, I couldn't even put a SOCK on. It was so swollen and the slightest touch was excruciating. I had a hole drilled in the nail to drain all the blood that had pooled under the nail and it feels SO much better now and it’s less swollen. I still can’t put a shoe on or walk normal, though. They said it would hurt me for about 2 weeks and be healed in like 4.

I had a hairline fracture in my big toe and I was in so much pain! Broken toes can really hurt. I actually had to have a cortizone shot for this stupid thing. He told me to just try to stay off it and were sneakers.

ETA: It took about a month. You should go see a Podiatrist to be sure. If you are in pain get the cortizone- it helped a lot.

I broke one of my middle toes. I went to the hospital and they told me they dont do anything for broken toes. They told me it would feel better in a couple of weeks....it was months before it felt better.

i once broke my baby toe. all the foot doctor did was tape two does. it healed in about 3 weeks
