Jane Austen
Has anyone read her? I actually saw the movie "The Jane Austen Book Club" on the flight home from Paris yesterday and now i think i want to read one of her books.
Thoughts?

I love that movie. The book is also great!
If you have never read Pride and Prejudice, it's just fantastic. It's witty, romantic. IMO one of the best novels in the English langiage!
It's probably the best one to read first. Emma is also wonderful.
Enjoy!!! Hope you enjoyed Paris

Re: Jane Austen
I wholeheartedly second reading Pride and Prejudice. It's probably one of my most favorite books in the world, and I am madly in with Mr. Darcy. (Whenever I teach it in my classes, the kids love it so much that they make t-shirts with Jane Austen quotes on them -- and they actually wear them. It's a riot. )

Re: Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice is probably my favorite with Persuasion as a close second. I also liked Emma, Sense and Sensibility and Mansfield Park.
