maybe someone can help me? this is my first post here

I'm still on my new year's resolution of working out and losing weight (very proud of myself that it's march and i'm still going).
I've been going to the gym atleast every other day Since January.. there were probably 2 weeks were I didn't make it at all (to be honest). Prior to January, I wasnt going to the gym at all. I'm also eating a lot healthier. Here is my dilemma :
The scale has given up about 2 pounds. Chat Icon Chat Icon I can see & feel a difference, but would have thought the pounds should be melting off by now. I'm 30 years old and a size 10- 12. I started heading into 12 territory in january... I could easily part with 20 lbs.

Any suggestions how to get the weight off ?

Re: need avice

Are you drinking enough water and eating a variety of healthy foods? Also, are you switching up your workout routine? Our bodies definitely get used to what we are doing if we are just eating the same things day in and day out...same with the workout.

Re: need avice

it took me 9 months of doing WW and using a personal trainer to lose 22 lbs (i'm at my goal weight now).

it takes time and u have to be patient w/ the scale.
go by how your clothes fit and how u feel.

drink 6-8 glasses of water per day. eat healthy portion controlled meals and snacks. and vary your exercise routine.
dont eat sodium rich foods 2 days before and the day that u weigh yourself (chinese, italian, mexican, soups, etc)

Thanks Ladies!

I've always been a water drinker, but the last week or so I've been making sure I get the 6-8 glasses.

I'll try switching up my workout this week. If I don't see the changes in a month I may get a personal trainer again. I just don't want to part with the $$.

I always have a hard time responding to posts like this without appearing to be a spokesperson for WW, so I am going to try and avoid talking in WW terms.

You need to keep a food log to make sure you are taking in the right amount of calories for your activity level. Sometimes we do not realize that we are not eating enough, which actually causes our body to hold onto weight, since it thinks it is starving.

Also, pay mind to calories in even the healthiest of foods. make sure you read labels and are paying mind to portion sizes.

I am by no means an expert on exercise, so I can't really answer any questions regarding thatChat Icon
