DH vent . . . I need sleep too!!!

Just need to get this out!

DH is usually wonderful, but he is sooo clueless when it come to helping out in ways that aren't "scheduled". If we have a plan in place, he can do anything, but if I just need him to step up he is always totally confused about what I need and what the hell I'm talking about.

Case in point . . . this morning.
DS was up from 2:30 am on. He fell asleep for a 1/2 at about 4:30, but basically I was up all night. This rarely happens. And whenever it does DH always says, "You should have woken me." But I don't usually wake DH during the night b/c he has to work. But today at 6:30 when the baby was up and he needed to get out of bed anyway, I told him about my night and asked if he could shower quickly and take care of DS while I got some sleep. Now he doesn't need to leave for work until 8:30, so I thought I could at least get an hour of sleep. Well, I fall asleep and am woken up by DS at 7 -- with a huge poopy diaper. And when I go look for DH for help I realize that he's already left for work. He NEVER leaves before 7:45. Why he had to leave 45 minutes earlier than usual and an hour and a half earlier than he has to today of all days I don't know, but I just wanted to scream!!!!


Now I'm just hoping DS will take a nap so I can too. Ughhhhh. Vent over -- thanks.

Ugh..I hope he had a good reason! I hope you both get a good nap..hang in there.

Talk to him tonight, maybe there was some reason why he had to leave earlier today.
