How much does a personal trainer charge
Hi-
I think this is my first post ever on this board but I'm ready to get it together..
For those of you that have used or still use or have been or is a trainer can you give me an idea of how much I should expect to pay? I'm sure if varies but I need an idea
Do they come to you or do you meet them at a gym?
Any referrals-I'm in Nassau

I can tell you what I pay...
$72 per hour. I go to New York Health and Racquet Club and he is a trainer with that gym. I go to the gym and see him twice a week, for one hour each session.
For me, it depended on how many hours I bought at once. I bought 50 hours at $72 per hour. If I bought 25 hours, it would have been $77 per hour. But if I bought 100 hours, it would have been $67 per hour. But I didn't have almost $7K laying around. You can also pay for 10 hours, but that's REALLY wasting money cuase then it's $80 per hour. So if you look at it as going 2x a week for an hour each session, which is what MOST people do, then it is per month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.

I had a trainer last year at my gym. They averaged $50 an hour.

I was paying $50/hr for mine. If you need a recommendation feel free to FM me. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

i joined ultimate body shaping and its a 10 week bootcamp, its group but its 325 for ten weeeks 6 days a week and they come around and help everyone, its fun and motivating...

i worked with one - she was great - in nassau. she met me either at my house or sometimes we'd do outdoor workouts. i think she charges about $70/session but i'm not sure b/c i did a barter with her.

I have a trainer at NYSC he is a master trainer and for 5 sessions it is $490. They just raised their rates.
