Re: Passport for children

Go to your local post office and they have the actual papers set up there for you to send in.

Make sure the childs father is with you when you go to the post office. Both parents need to be there (with id) or you need a signed letter from the parent not there.

Yes this is true. When we went both DH and I were there. Make sure you have your child's Birth Certificate.

Its easy. We went to CVS and got his picture taken and both DH and I went to the post office with his birth certificates (and our ids) and we got it 11 days later.

u and dh must be there when u hand in the passport papers or i think you'll need a signed note from dh with his id.

it's easiest to go to the post office. they'll give u the papers to fill out, get the money order there, bring the birth cert. and that's it!

We paid with a personal check.

Also you can go to the PO ahead of time so that you show up with the paperwork filled out.

Some of the PO will also take pics, look up online. that's what we did and yes if you have papers ready it'll make everything easy, we printed everything out and filled them out at home.
