trip from helll

1. my coteacher (we car poll together) got sick when we got to work, and took my car home so it was just me on the trip (and my para) and had to get a ride home from someone else

2. My dumb school put in for the buses incorrectly, listing 10 special ed and xxx# gen ed students,. therefore they ordered 4 buses and 1 minibus that only fits 20 (which really isnt 20 because they wanted to squeeze 2 students in a seat for 2 and i was not going for that). half my students had to squeeze on another bus with my para. I was not comfortable about this considering we are a sp. ed class and that my coteacher wasnt there.

3. my bus left first, we got there about 1015am the rest of my class was on the other bus so we couldnt get started and another teacher on another bus had all the money so couldnt get started due to that either. By the time the rest of my class got there and the other buses we didnt get started til almost 11 am. at 11 we were scheduled for the playground area and then 1230 for lunch. lunch was over and we had to get back on the bus. so in the end we didn NOTHING on this trip.

4. my parents were annoying. one parent and her 3 assigned students kept disappearing and we had to keep looking for them.

5. leaving to get our jackets im missing 6 students, because the parents dont follow directions or follow the rest of us and stood behind.

and whats with dads - i got stuck carrying the heavy insulated bag full of 21 lunches and ice packs and one of my students dad (who is in the military) didnt even offer to help me wth it!!

we should have just taken them to see Horton hears a who!!

Ohh I hear ya about annoying chaperones that disappear...I had one leave the museum trip I was on for the whole time to go shopping than reappeared on the bus to go back to school....W T F!

Sorry you had a sucky trip
