Where does your toddler eat at home?

I am getting claustrophobic seeing the two high chairs in the kitchen, so last night I had a brilliant idea to remove the trays and pull the high chairs up to the table. What a PITA for them to be fed like that, especially since I gave them yogurt this morning. I thought I'd be able to sit and have breakfast with them too but I wasn't hungry yet and back and forth from the stove cooking for them.

Are your toddlers still in high chairs? If so, are the high chairs away from the table or are they pulled up to the table in a booster or the high chair? When is it time to retire the high chair? TIA!

we still have them in high chairs, I usually feed them next to each other. The only time I pull them up to the table is if they are eating with us.
I still keep the tray on because it would be a mess all over if I took the tray off.

I only use the booster seat if we go out to dinner or going to friends houses.
I know, Im so tired of seeing the 2 high chairs, I want to get rid of them, but it is very convienant for now.

We never even used the high chairs - we got the seats that go right on to the chair and have long since removed the trays - (I'd say by the time they were 1). I thought it was messy at first but they got used to it, and so did I.

We have the high chairs that hook onto our regular chairs and they still eat in those w/ the tray on. I pull them a little bit away from the table just so they dont kick it.

We never even used the high chairs - we got the seats that go right on to the chair and have long since removed the trays - (I'd say by the time they were 1). I thought it was messy at first but they got used to it, and so did I.

We used the high chairs with the trays until they were 2. Then we switched to booster seats that put them higher and now at 2 1/2 they won't use anything. Except if at my MIL's they will sit in boosters with the trays there, not sure why only there though.

they only sit in their highchairs for dinners (sometimes) or on the weekends, because typically we will have breakfast and dinner all together. But majority of the time they are feed in the play room, because they are not big eaters, so to sit them in their highchairs for a pancake or a half of banana is not worth it.

the boys actually sit at the table.. without any booster seats.....

we just folded up the highchairs and put them away We're using their Fisher Price boosters at the table.

We were talking about this last night. The HC take up so much room, but they still love them so I am going to keep them. We have booster seats to use when we go somewhere, but we store them away at home.

I'll probably tranfer over to those when they are around 2.

my girls sit at the kitchen table--we got rid of the high chairs around 17 months..they do fine on the chairs.

I think I had originally meant this post for the Parenting board b/c I just realized I titled it "toddler" rather than "toddlers."

We have been sitting down and eating together with DDs now around the table. I love the additional space and sitting with them, however, I've noticed they are eating less now.
