Um... what?

I've been on WW two weeks now, started walking about 2 miles a day to and from the train, doing pilates and walking for 40 minutes a day during lunch.

I stopped eating crackers and cookies for snacks and instead I eat lots of veggies and fruits, stayed right on target with my points and really ate quite, quite healthy these last 2 weeks.

First week I lost 4lbs.

I weighed in this morning and gained 2lbs!

What the heck????

Re: Um... what?

Beth it is natural for your body to fluctuate anywhere up to 5 lbs at any given time during the month.

don't worry so much about these small amounts on the scale (especially since you don't have much to lose). keep doing what your doing and take your body measurements...it's a better judge of your progress.

don't let the numbers on the scale get into your head!!!! focus on clothing fit and the way your body feels! it sounds like your are on a great track, so keep it up!Chat Icon

Re: Um... what?

Beth did you eat your flex points? Sounds like you are doing a lot of activity and it could just be that you have not eaten enough.

You're on the right track, I am sorry you had a gain this week. I know it's not exactly great motivation but your body is get a real shock right now and you have to let it adjust in it's own way Chat Icon

Not really, only about 5 of the flex points per week, but seriously, I'm not hungry enough to eat them all. I get about 3 activity points a day, so that gives me more than enough points for my hunger. No joke, I'm seriously eating every 2 hours, so I can't imagine stuffing any more food into my body!

Well it's good that you're not eating when you're not hungy. So you are eating activity points just not flex? I would give it another week and see what happens then. Your body might've just went into complete shock Chat IconChat Icon

If things don't improve next week I would consider eating more points. They don't have to be filling - like 2 Tbsp of peanut butter or something like that. Good luck!

Oh yes, I'm eating my daily 20 points, and then on top I swap each day 2-3 activity points, so I'm eating everyday 22-23 points.

I think you're right, it's been quite a few years since I've incorporated this much activity into my day, so I think my body needs a little time to regulate and get into the swing of things Chat Icon

I always always always gain weight when I start exercising. It is so disappointing but muscle weights a lot more than fat. It's very possible that you are losing fat but gaining muscle which is why you had a gain this week. In another week or two it will regulate and then you will see a difference on the scale. Are your clothes fitting better?

Re: Um... what?

hmm...when I was on WW I was doing core...but in the beginning I actually tried to use as few flex points as I could and I would almost never use activity points. Sometimes you have to be more strict at the start and losen up as you weight loss continues.
