Do you get reimbursed for mileage? What is the rate?

I changed jobs about six months ago and one of the partners is saying no mileage, only parking train, etc. I am not happy.

Thanks.

Re: Question for Attorneys...Travel expenses

I'm not an attorney, but have been a Paralegal for over 16 years and any firm that I have worked for reimburse anyone that travels for the office. They do not, however, have to reimburse you. If they don't, you can claim it on your taxes. The IRS has a standard per mileage reimursement to use.

Thanks I know that the IRS standard went up to .485 , but I know some people that don't get this. I am trying to see what most are getting.

I know that they do not HAVE to reimburse, but I've never worked at a firm where I did not get reimbursed...even when I was a law student/intern.

Thanks for your help.
