It's me again...with good news and another question

the good news is I love ~Colleen~ and Jlddolphin (sorry if that's wrong) and anyone else that helped me yesterday.

I went to BBB on 18th and 6th and decided to check out Filene's. WELL, they had the PERFECT coverlet in the color is was originally looking for (grey). I will post pics of it after the "reveal" to my dh LOL. I ended up getting the full/queen size (t/y!) and best of all, after stopping in BBB, I picked up an area rug and curtains in the colors dh mentioned liking...so I have my color palette perfect! PS the coverlet was $39.99, and it's sister colors where in BBB for $79.99 for the TWIN size, so I did awesome there!

Now, after being far too wordy, is the question.

I realized after looking last night that if I want to paint the accent wall, I REALLy must paint the whole room

like I said, the walls are already white, and I'll just paint over them with a fresh coat, and then paint the accent wall.

how many hours, realistically speaking, will it take the paint to DRY so that I can hang things on the wall?

I have a decent idea of how long the paint job will take for three people...but the DRYING part is what worries me....

any insights are appreciated...is there a quick dry paint?

TIA. I really appreciate all of your help!

I would let it dry for at least 24 hours before you hung anything.

Sweet deal on the bedding!!! Can't wait to see the finished product.

I think 2 hrs between coats is safe. If you get something like the Aura paint from Benjamin Moore, it's only 1 coat. I would wait 3-4 hrs before hanging things. Otherwise you might get marks/dents in the paint if you hang too early.

Most latex paint is dry to the touch in 1 hour or so. You need to be very careful for up to 2 weeks, until it totally cures. I would try and keep things off the wall if you could for a few days. For the "reveal", you should be fine after an hour or so, but you may want to take things down after the reveal, just so things dry properly and nothing gets marked up or stuck to the paint, etc.

Chat Icon Glad to hear you found something you love. Chat Icon Chat Icon I can't wait to see the finished product, but most of all I can't wait to find out who you really are after your reveal of course. Chat Icon Sounds like you got some great finds yesterday. As for the paint drying. It's supposed to rain on Saturday, so the dry time might be a little longer because of the moisture in the air. I'm pretty sure that is how it works. Try bringing in a couple of fans to help the walls dry. I'm not really sure about the time, but I would think in an hour, but if you can wait longer for it to dry that would be best. GL! Take lots of pics.

how about using some fabric on the wall instead? Hang a nice shantung type material. Go to a fabric store and get something inexpensive.

can't wait to see the finished product. you got a good buy btw. I think you can wait a few hours and hang something up but at least give it a few hours.
