My Ultrascreen Experience!
Yesterday, I had my appt for the ultrascreen at Madonna's Babylon office. It was really crowded when I got there! Luckily, I didn't have to wait very long. I must tell you ladies...it was a fabulous experience!! My sono tech rocked!! She put me at ease right away and started cracking jokes with DH from the moment we walked into the room!!
She was very thorough and told us everything we saw on the screen. Thanks to "wannabemom," I knew the parameters for a 'normal' nuchal translucency. When I saw the tech measure a small space behind the gobblin's head, and .15cm come up... I immediately asked her if that was the measurement we were concerned with and to confirm- was it 1.5mm. She said yes and was very impressed with my knowledge and conversion from cm-mm skills!!  So... thanks "wannabemom" for helping me to try and be sane!! Knowledge is power!!
Anyway, the little gobblin really looked like a baby and was jumping all around as soon as the tech started the test. The two chocolate chip cookies that I had before leaving for the doctor's office probably helped with that! She ended up doing an internal and an external sono. She was pretty gentle and really took her time explaining everything to me and DH. I heart that woman! 
We go for genetic counseling on Monday, 4/21 and will get the combined results of the ultrascreen then.
