Family Day Care Costs?
Hello, for those of you with your child in family daycare (daycare in someone's home) how much do you pay and how old is your child?

I pay $375 a week for 3 kids. My ds goes to preschool 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours so my sitter only charges me half for him.
DS almost 5
DD 2 1/2
DS 11 months
I am so lucky and she is like family. I also give her an extra weeks pay at Xmas and at the end of the school year. I'm a teacher.

Actually, this is more average of what I have been hearing from people on the streets! I am opening my own family daycare in June and I was just wondering some comparable prices for what I am going to charge.

Actually, this is more average of what I have been hearing from people on the streets! I am opening my own family daycare in June and I was just wondering some comparable prices for what I am going to charge.
I have been a NYS family daycare provider for 5 years (although I am currently on an "extended" maternity leave  )....My daily rate was $50 per day (children under age 2) and $40 per day (over the age of 2)...Discount given if there were siblings...Good Luck- Its a lot of fun !!!

$185 a week and it includes lunch but not bottles.
She is 15 months.

I used a family daycare provider and she charges $50 per day for infants $40 per day for 2-3 years old and $30 per day for 4 and older. However she will give discounts for siblings. She only provides juice and snacks for the older kids not lunch.

if you live in Nassau its Child Care Council of Nassau ...You will find a list of licensed/registered family day care providers as well as centers ...

I looked into this and unfortunately I am not finding those prices above, as they seem affordable. What is the average you should pay someone to come to you for a 9 hour day? (Infant). What about if they bring their child? How much per day is better than per week. Tnx in advance!

We pay by the hour, 6.00 an hour. DD goes for 3 days. We round it off to 50 a day.
We got a recommendation from a co-worker.

I watch a 14 month old...250 a week, he comes with his own meals.
8:30 AM-3:15 PM 5 days a week
