How do you...
stay motivated on a diet and workout plan?
I went to the gym in a tighter tank top, so I can see what I NEED to loose and it really kept me going.
What are your tricks?

Re: How do you...
I have basically always been a gym rat. I just make it part of my day. I go directly from work to the gym. Days when I skip the gym, I have no idea what to do with myself. I think that is the most important thing incorporating it into your life so it is a habit and not a chore.

Re: How do you...
Well my stomach is a good motivator. If I eat crappy food, I get sick as a dog. It sits heavy and I feel lathargic. So keeping that feeling away is always on my mind. I also try to set goals for myself. For food - I aim for only 2 nights of 'fun' food. And I became a vegetarian 2 yrs ago (another goal). For the gym, I hired a trainer b/c having her there forces me to go even when i don't want to and she makes working out fun. As for a fitness goal, I just set a goal of running a half marathon by 2009. So currently, since i've never really been a runner, i'm training for a 3k. Then I'll work my way up. Setting goals and seeing progress really keeps me motivated. My DH is a bit of a health buff too so when I need a little extra push, I know I always have him there.
