Does anyone know what a SPECIAL day this is?
Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my great honor and pleasure to wish you all a very very very happy:
PIGS IN A BLANKET DAY!!!
As excited as I am, I question the coincidence/irony that my favorite snack food is celebrated on a day on which a nice Jewish girl like me should NOT be partaking in the celebration. Fortunately for me, I am not keeping kosher this year and next year, it runs from the 9th to the 15th of April.
Regardless, all who celebrate, ENJOY!

omg i freaking  pigs in a blanket!!!!!!
i love that no matter how fancy a RH is---they ALWAYS have some kind of piggies in a blanket
or as they say "cocktail franks wrapped in a puff pastry"

2 weeks ago, dh and i went to this insanely fancy wedding and they had the coolest pigs in a blanket- they came in long rolls and the dough was kind of like phyllo-ish and they server cut them into bite sized pieces.
they were delish!

a new fun fact: Pigs in a Blanket
This is about as "gourmet" as the hot dog gets. Wrapped in either biscuit dough, or puff pastry this has been a favorite at parties and picnics for decades. To make a long, boring story short, our "Pigs in a Blanket" is actually a British adaptation of a German recipe called "Sausage in a Nightgown." Sounds more expensive.
