Cramps?
I have had cramps or shall I say A cramp this entire week across my lower abdomen. Right now it's more on the bottom right side. I told my dr. about it yesterday, and he didn't say anything, but now I am getting scared. Is cramping normal?

Re: Cramps?
My whole first trimester was like one big cramp. I think alot of ladies cramp throughout their first trimester, and it is totally normal.

Re: Cramps?
Totally normal, but be sure to drink lo0ts and lots of water. I had a scare last weeks b/c I was a little dehydrated.

Re: Cramps?
If you're early on cramping is perfectly normal. I cramped all through my first trimester. As long as there is no bleeding and you're not doubling over in extreme pain you're probably fine.

Re: Cramps?
For the first few days after my BFP, I had a lot of side cramping. Now, I have more cramping in my lower abdomen. It makes me nervous b/c it feels a lot like bad AF cramps. I think it's normal though since everything is stretching.

Re: Cramps?
those cramps are either your uterus stretching, or, if it's more localized, it could be a cyst called the corpus luteum.
"Many women go for a routine ultrasound or pelvic examination early in their pregnancy and come away with the surprise finding of an ovarian cyst. Usually, this cyst comes from the corpus luteum. After an egg is released from the ovary, the corpus luteum is responsible for making the hormone progesterone. It is this hormone that prepares the uterus for pregnancy.
A typical corpus luteum is round and fluid-filled and can range in size from less than two centimeters (about an inch) to six centimeters or more. On ultrasound, a fluid-filled (cystic) structure greater than three centimeters is technically classified as an ovarian cyst, even though it may well represent a normal finding.
Ovarian cysts usually don't cause any symptoms. In fact, corpus luteum cysts appear toward the end of the menstrual cycle, last into early pregnancy, and then usually resolve over a period of time without any special treatment."

Re: Cramps?
OHHHHH yeah...I posted this same question about 2 weeks ago. I actually had such an awful cramp last night that it woke me out of a sound sleep. Some of them are worse than any menstrual cramps I ever had! BUT everyone I've spoken to said it's totally normal...including my RE.
