I went to the city with one of my friends today with the intent of seeing Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit. However, it is temporarily closed b/c it's moving theatres. Instead, we saw The Musical of Musicals. Basically, it's the same story told in 5 different ways, based on the styles of 5 different composers/lyricists (eg. Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rogers and Hammerstein, Kander and Ebb). You have to be a real musical theatre fan to get most of the references. I have a lot of musical theatre knowledge, but some of it definitely went over my head. I enjoyed it overall and would reccommend it to any major musical theatre fans.
