Queens teaching openings
How do I go about finding opening in Middle Schools in Queens? I tried the link for the open market, but it says you have to already be an employee of NYDOE to access it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must already be a DOE employee to access the website...The open market is for teachers (already employed) who want to move to other schools.

Re: Queens teaching openings
I work in a middle school in Queens. Honestly, I found the email address for every principal for all middle schools in QUeens and emailed my resume and cover letter. Luckily, one called me back, I interviewed the next day and was hired on the spot. Obvioulsy, they were in desperate need since it was November and they still had a vacancy.
Good Luck!
BTW: what subject are you looking to teach?

I did the same thing and got a job in a middle school in queens too! I did it at the end of may last year. Just go on the DOE site, you can search by school type and district. Then start sending out your resume.

Re: Queens teaching openings
I've been wondering the same thing, as I'm trying to come back to NY and need to find a teaching job. Is email the best way?
