need a replacement food

Sugar is so addictive.

Every night I *need* ice cream. I usually have 2-3 servings = 250/300 calories. I swear this is what prevents me from losing any more weight.

What can I eat in its place? Splenda bothers my stomach so even buying sugar free ice cream is out Chat Icon

any ideas for either a replacement or a way to break this nasty habit? Don't say fruit Chat Icon

Re: need a replacement food

How about individually wrapped some kind of ice cream (preferably low fat) so that you won't have more than one portion?

I feel the same way about needing something sweet!

Skinny cow flying saucers are awesome! (expensive but yummy!)

I don't see sugar substitute - just lowfat milk. I think they are 2 points each.

Another idea is to scoop cool whip on chocolate graham crackers and freeze! Almost as good as ice cream!

Jello pudding??

They have a ton of flavors-- and even if you don't go for the sugar free version-- they are portion controlled. And it will help to satisfy the cold and sweet craving.

Not technically fruit but the Edy's frozen fruit bars are awesome and low in calories (around 100 I think?).

I am right there with you girl - ice cream is a hard thing for me to give up.
