Update on what's been going on...

I should have written this a week ago but I've been too depressed, angry and ****** off about it.

Well remember how the thursday before vacation my assistant principal asked me not to come in friday because I was labeled "dangerous" to have in the classroom and that if they needed me on the monday following vacation they would call me.

Well I NEVER received a phone call, which is fine because we all know I didn't want to go back. So, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday passes...Wednesday would have been my last day there because my discontinuance was approved and as of 5/1 I no longer had to be there.

So Thursday 5/1 comes and around maybe 11 or 12ish I get a phone call from HR down in Brooklyn asking me why I haven't been to work. I'm like excuse me? She goes well your school as called to inform us that you haven't been to work, you can't just sit at home and get paid ma'am you have to go back to the school. I WAS FUMING AT THIS POINT!!!! ***!?!!? First of all they TOLD ME NOT to come in! and that THEY would call me if they need me....nice to know the phone is working that they could call HR to call me....Then I explained my discontinuance to them and I said. Well see its 5/1 SO I DON'T HAVE TO GO BACK! She's like ok so you are being terimated as of yesterday and u have it in writing? I say yes and she's like ok then.

SERIOUSLY ***!?!?!?!

Seriously it makes me so damn angry because the admin is really building a case against me to use during my appeal. I can't believe any of this it makes me beyond angry, and possibly ruins my chances of finding another job in the NYC public school system, which is where i want to build my career.

I'm so down and depressed over all of this, 3 weeks at home has made me bitter, sad and very down.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this...there is a better school for you out there!

Im so sorry this is all happening to you.

Being falsely accused truly stinks, Ive been there (but not with teaching)

Dont let it get you down. You know you do your best and that things are out of your control (that are being taken out on you )

But can you write an email to someone at a top position (not sure of who's who and who to address this to)

but state your case, exactly detail for detail, this way this is documented in your file, and you were able to speak your part also. kwim ?
and CC A few people, so that you know this is out there. and also end it with something stating that you'd like to hear back from someone on how to
resolve this matter...

not sure if this is exactly what you should write, I read your posts, but cant remember exactly, so I cant remember if its a matter of resolving your case (it is being resolved already right?) or if you just want someone to speak to about "clearing your name" and not letting this affect your permanent record as a teacher.
