TMI but curious??
Hi,
After you do the deed, how long do you lie there afterwards? I try to lay there for at least twenty minutes but when I get up, I feel like we wasted our time and everything just comes right out. Am I crazy?

I posted about this when we first started TTC, because I've always been used to running to the bathroom after BDing (well, before TTC so I guess it wasn't technically BDing) so that I wouldn't get UTIs.
A TON of ladies told me that they went to the bathroom right after and now they are pregnant!
I stay there for 30 minutes still though just because I like to pretend it's doing something.
Remember, the sperm are microscopic. It's probably all seminal fluid coming out and hopefully the sperm are making their way to the egg!

I try to lay for as long as I can-- which is usually less than 5 mins.
I have never been patient.
From what I have read-- the sperm gets up there immediately from the sheer force of ejaculation-- what comes out of you after it just seminal fluid. Lying there won't make a difference.

I usually just go to bed afterwards so I don't get up for several hours. I'm sure it makes no difference, but it makes me feel better thinking I've done everything I can possibly do to help things along.

Corny as it may sound, I elevated my toosh and held it up for about 5ish minutes.
I dunno if it helped or not. I have nothing to go off of since I got my BPF in the first month I tried.
Hey doesn't hurt to try, right? That was my thought then anyway.

DH goes to the bathroom, and I use the 5 mins to prop my feet up or something, but within 5 minutes I'm up.

when i got prego with my dc. I lied with my feet up in the air and my pelvis up in the air.. like when you do the exercise riding a bicycle.. In my own mind it made me think it would help the troops flow towards the egg.. I got prego.. so im going to do this again for #2.
