meditation?
I am going through a lot of changes in my life at the moment mostly career changes. I am very stressed and over whelmed. I would like to start to meditate but don't have a clue where to start. I think that maybe this will help me to get some balance & not feel so stressed.
Do you meditate & how did you start?

Meditation is very calming, but it's very hard when you first start to keep the mind still. You can begin with easy and calming breathing techniques...and first understand your breath; breathe into what is tight. Look up "meditation breathing techniques" on Google. Start in a quiet, dark room with candles and some soft music. If a thought comes in to your mind, let it float by. Quieting the mind is not as easy as you think. In yoga, taking "savasana" is actually very hard. When most people get 5 minutes of silence and quiet time, they use the time to think of all the things they have to do. I'm not sure if this helps, but I hope it did.
