How do you store chicken in the freezer?

I always wrap chicken breasts individually in wax paper and then in a ziploc gallon bag, but after 2-3 weeks it always gets freezer burn.

Any suggestions for how to store it better? Thanks!

I usually just put all the chicken together in a ziploc bag. Never have a problem with freezer burn.

we jsut put them into a ziploc FREEZER bag. sometimes we put a marinade in the bag or salad dressing so that when it defrosts, it's been marinated already

ETA: maybe there is too much air in the bag when you seal it?

wrap in foil and put in gallon freezer bag

I put the pieces into little fold over sandwich bags and then put those into the freezer bag. This way, since I only need to defrost a piece at a time, I take out a little bag, put it in a bowl and put the bowl in the frig.

since it's just me and DH, I divide the chicken breasts into 2 servings, then put 2 in each quart size bag. I try to squeeze out as much air as I can, but it still sometimes gets freezer burn.

If I don't buy the purdue already sealed chcken in bags, then I use ziploc freezer bags, squeeze the air out and place them in the freezer and they don't get freezer burn.

I wrap them in saran wrap then place in ziploc freezer bags....never had a problem with it

I but the boneless skinless 64oz bag from Meijer when they are BYGOF, but if I go to the meat market I get about 10lbs and when I get home we use the food saver bags and they last forever! I wrap 2breasts per bag since it's just Joe, but with summer coming I wrap about 4 together now. We eat a lot of chicken on the bbq and do lots of shishkabobs. ALso if I plan on making chx noodle soup I'll wrap 5pieces in a bag. The food saver bags are awsome and I wrap all my meats in them!
