My Boss just resigned
and I am nervous
I was told about a month ago that I am on track to be promoted in 6 months
we were suppose to have a 3 month review to make sure I was doing everything to get this promotion
she is already gone- so I can't ask her
I don't want to just leave this hanging out there
thoughts?

Esp with reviews, right?
-What kind of work are you in?
I would be pee'd if I dont see that promotion and if deserved!

yep- she went to our #1 competitor- just like the rumors we heard
my bosses boss knows and the President is aware
I guess I should ask the VP to help guide me????

yes, the next level up. Get on their calendar in about a week. Give them time to figure out what's what.

I feel better now
but alittle disappionted b/c I was hoping that this could speed it up
I guess we will see what happens in the next few weeks!

I'm sure they have to get straight in their own minds as to the impact of your boss leaving.
Glad you feel better. I'm sure if everything is in line, you will get that promotion soon!

 oh wow Beth! I can see how something like that would be unnerving. but I am glad that you spoke to your VP about it and that you're on track for the promotion

I think I am going to throw my hat in the ring for her job
I am pretty sure other marketing manager is- and I think I should also (there on only 2 of us)
she isn't more qualified then I am- she has just been there 1 year longer - if anything I am more qualified based on the projects I work on vs what she works on
and if I don't ask for it- they wont know I want it!
I am going to speak to the President tomorrow!
