Going off the pill and TTC
DH and I have decided that I'm going to stay on the pill for 2 more months and then we will be TTC!! 
Question...Are you supposed to wait to TTC after you go off the pill? The last time I was at my gyn (6 or 7 months ago) she said I should wait 2 months, but other people say you don't have to wait. What's the deal?
Another question...When you decided to TTC, did you go to the doctor to talk about it or did you just go ahead and TTC? Should I tell my doctor that I'm planning to go off the pill?

I was told to wait a few months. My friend went off the pill and got preggo right away and had a MC.

You should definately tell your Dr. you are going off the pill. I brought it up because I wanted to know what the time frame was that I would have to wait to TTC. Depending on what pill you take, is when you should start TTCing. According to my Dr, I didn't have to wait a day - he said I could start trying immediately because the hormone level is so low. He did say that it could take a few months before I ovulate though.

So when you go off the pill are you supposed to use condoms or something for the first few months? How many months did you wait?

I waited about 4-5 months, but that was more due to our own timing than because of BCPs - we did use condoms during that time.
I wanted to chart for a few months to learn my cycle before TTC (though with my irregularity, its been pointless).
I know I ovulated the first month off BCPs but I don't think I have since then. So its true you can be very fertile when you first come off.

I went off Bc in september and got PG in november and everything is fine.

usually they tell you to wait a few months so your cycle can regulate. But as I understand it - it's ok if you don't.
I got pregnant my second month off the pill and all has been fine so far,
