what does a thin endometrial lining mean? Update! Update again6/12
I went today for a sono and bloodwork to check out my follicles and see when they thought I would be ready for the IUI. I have one dominant follie on the left side measuring 15. So, I have 3 or 4 days until I surge. Which is about right for me. That is the good news.
The bad, or maybe bad, news is that my endometrial lining is "a little thinner than they would like to see". So my instruction was to come back on Tuesday to see if it thickened up on its own. If not, I might need some estrogen. They also said that if I surge on my OPK's before then to come in for the IUI. I would not get a sono at that point. So I ask, "well then how would you know if the lining was too thin?". I was told, "well, you probably wouldn't". So I asked what a thin lining means. She said something about implantation.
So what does that mean? I will be on google for a while driving myself nuts but, I was hoping someone on here might know. TIA 
UPDATE:
So I went into the office yesterday (tuesday) and my lining is now at 7. They said this is the minimum amount they like to see. But my follicle only grew from 15 to 16 since Saturday and I am going to have a looong cycle. So I have a few more days for the lining to thicken up on its own. I was supposed to O today but now I have no idea. If I don't get a +OPK by Saturday I have to go in for another sono and bloodwork to see what's going on. For now, she said it has no bearing on the outcome, meaning a BFP or BFN, I am just growing a very slow follicle. So that's my update.  that my follie wakes up and my lining gets a bit thicker!

Update again: 6/12.
I got my smiley face today So it looks like I am going for an IUI tomorrow! Friday the 13th.. eeek.. Dh wants to name the baby Jason if this works. I will be checking his scalp for 666.. I kid, I kid. LOL It is also our 13th cycle. Talk about crazy numbers. LOL
that my lining got a little thicker since Tuesday!! I would like it to get to an 8 at least. But they won't sono me the day of the IUI so I will never know. I just have to pray really hard. I have very little hope for this cycle. I feel so negative about it. Please keep me in your prayers if you can!! Thanks!

I needed estrogen one time before before one of my IUI cycles and my lining went from 5 to 10 overnight  (My RE office likes it to be at least a 9 for IUI's)....I asked the Dr. how that was possible and he said it may have been a mis-measurement by the original sono tech or I just may have responded that well...So, yes, it can work rather quickly...

They like the lining to be at least 8 for implantation. And the estrace works great...I have been on it for FET's and it takes the lining from nothing to 8 in a matter of days.

Mine was an oral pill (Estrace)

That's a great update! By the time the follie gets to 18/20 your lining will be at 8 which is good for implantation~
