Avon/Candle/"toy" Parties

Anyone a rep for a company like this?

I'd love to make some extra money on the side and would like to know if anyone does any of these and if its lucrative...

Any feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Avon/Candle/"toy" Parties

I was a unit leader for partylite about 10 years ago.
I made money because I never bought demo product, I always won through promotions. You can't get sucked into spending all of your money on product.
I had serveral great circles of women that had multiple parties with me. At the time I stopped I had about 8 woman "under" me & I was earning money on their sales too. I made 33k one year doing it very part time.
When I stopped PL was getting really worn out around here, too many reps & too many other places to buy nice candles.

I found a company called homemakers idea company-I think its called signature style now. It was alot like southern living at home, they have beautiful baskets & great not too expensive stuff.
I started a unit here for them, they didn't have any reps on LI. I did that for about 2 years, made money & was doing great. I met my DH & he needed help running his business so I gave my unit up.

I also sold Avon for a very short time but didn't make any real money.

The economy is a little tight now so you've got to find a company that has decent prices(because 95% of the wealthier people will NOT attend or have parties) and its good if its not a company that already has a million reps on LI.
You have to keep your out of pocket expenses low-this is where most home party reps fail, set your sights on "recruiting" that is where the real money is.
If you have more specific questions I'd be happy to help.

Re: Avon/Candle/"toy" Parties

I own a travel website.

Company is TraVerus Travel.

www.FreeTravelPerks.com

My site is www.flyorsea.com

You can join by going to www.flyorsea.info and clicking join now...

It costs me $99 for the first month and $50 a month thereafter. I have made a few thousand in pending trip commission since May. Total cost of me running it has been paid already for the year. You get a 1099 at the end of the year so you can write off operating expenses. I am booking a trip to Disney in September so I will book with myself and make moeny off it.

You make money on both recruiting people under you and people booking on your site.

Let me know if anyone wants info.

ETA: I MEANT $99 for the first month!!!! Not $199!!!! SORRY !!!!
