Anyone have experience with The Little Village School in Seaford or Dutch Lane in Hicksville?
My son was just approved for an intergrated class for his speech delay. These two schools were recommended and where his paperwork will go. Any experience with these? Thanks.

Hi!
I have only heard of Little Village... but will ask my CPSE chair at my job about the other school... Little Village has a great reputation and many of the children that come to us from Little Village as Kindergarteners go into inclusion and mainstream classes. However, there are some significantly delayed children who also attend Little Village... I am sure if you asked, you could visit both programs... would be happy to come with you!....

Did you make a decision yet? I am going to ask Lance's teacher if she knows anything about them on Tuesday. I will let you know.

Just chiming in..it doesn't mean they will be in the same class. My son went to a school with significantly delayed children and they were classed by severity of needs, etc. Also, being that the OP said integrated, she will be mixed in with typically developing children as well as children with special needs. So even if there were severely delayed children in the class, she would still have positive role models in the classroom. MOST special education preschools do provide services for severely disabled children. I really don't think you will find one that doesn't.
My advice, check out the classes at each school. That's what I did when DS attended a special education preschool program.
