Re: anyone have a great pepper steak recipe?
Here's mine Boil about 4 or 5 cups of water and add 4 or five beef bullion cubes (you could use more or less water & bullion, depending on how much juice you like)
While the water for the bullion is boiling Coat the pepper steak meat Lightly in flour and brown in a little bit of olive oil.(use however much meat you like)
cut up about 2 large tomatos, 1 large onion, 2 medium green peppers and 1 red.
Once the meat is browned add the water and bullion to the pan and then add all the vegetables.
Put in soy sauce to taste.
Cover and let cook on med low heat until peppers are soft.
Serve with rice
My mom taught me how to make this. It is so good. THis is one of DH's favorite meals that i make. I don't eat red meat so i just eat the veggies and rice with the juice but DH LOVES it!

Re: anyone have a great pepper steak recipe?
I have a SUPER easy one....
1 lb steak, cut diagonally... 1 packet of brown gravy mix 1 tbsp of soy sauce (one packet is a tbsp) 1-2 peppers, any color you like-cut into strips a spray of olive oil 3/4 cup water
1. Whisk together water, gravy mix, and soy sauce and let sit.
2. spray the bottom of a big frying pan that has a lid, or you can use a wide bottom sauce pot....anything that has a lid, cook steak on medium until it's brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes...then drain out any fat.
3. Add peppers to frying pan and mix them through, then pour gravy mixture into pan, stir, and cover-let simmer on low for 15-20 minutes. (You can let it simmer longer, and the meat will just get more tender, I discovered this one night when my boyfriend was 15 minutes late for dinner)
serve over rice...I use 90 second brown rice!
eta: I got this off the McCormick's website, they have some really good easy recipes if you're looking to try new stuff.
