Someone help me stop

the eating madness!!! everything and anything I can ge my hands on all weekend. WhyChat Icon Chat Icon

That is always the cycle....do really great for a while, lose some.....than start to shovel it in...or do great all week and then blow it on the weekends. Wish I could just keep a nice stable balance and not have the crazy moments.

Anyone out there overcome the need to eat everything in site moments??? I have made significant lifestyle changes but still at times the overindulgent, emotional side wins out. I think it must be really amazing to get to that place where one small cheat does not turn into a weekend of overindulging and then a monday morning feel guilty have to start over day.

Oh well here is to a fresh start tomorrowChat Icon

Re: Someone help me stop

That was ALWAYS my downfall - one treat would turn into a weekend of total overindulgence.

The way I combat that is to give myself a treat when I'm *NOT* hungry.

Hunger, at particular times of the day (for me 5-6pm) is when the overindulgence strikes. It's only when I'm absolutely ravenous that I raid the fridge, and stuff everything that's horrible for me, into my mouth.

So, my solution is to make sure I eat about every 2 hours, something healthy. Usually fruit, veggies, lowfat cheese or yogurt. That way the cravings never kick in.

And at the end of the day, once in a while, I'll treat myself to a little something, but I only do so if I've already eaten dinner and I'm not starving. That way I'm satifsifed with my little treat and I don't have that urge to raid the fridge.
