HR people: firing someone at work!
I have some questions about how to go about this. I don't want to post the situation publicly for obvious reasons. Is there anyone here in HR who I can send a FM to about the situation for your feedback? Many thanks!

I'm not in HR, but my good friend is. She says if it's a woman, minority, someone over 45, etc...they give a severence and "lay off" not fire.
She works for one of the big accounting firms, I'm sure that's harder for small businesses, with severence and paying unemployment.

I don't work in HR but I work closely with them when I terminate or lay off someone. FM me if you want.

This sounds SOOOOOO wrong on so many levels. So basically if you are a white male you are totally screwed.
