Restaurants in Syosset/Plainview/Hicksville....
Does anyone know of any restaurants/small decent catering halls in those locations (or close by) that may have a party room that could fit somewhere between 50-80 people? I'm looking to make a small party in the fall for Ed-lie's Hebrew baby naming and would like to start scouting out locations soon - not to book until after she is born. Sit down service not necessary - buffet is fine. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I think Peppercorn's in Hicksville could accomodate 50-60.
Maine Maid Inn could accommodate probably 70, I woudl guess.

Maine Maid Inn could accommodate probably 70, I woudl guess.
Unfortunately, Maine Maid Inn has changed owners. I find it has really gone dowhill lately.

Cafe Testarossa on Jericho Tpke in Syosset
Steve's Picola Busola II (sp?) on Cold Spring Road in Syosset (used to be La Viola).
Rachel's Cafe or Mim's in Syosset (Berry Hill Road)
I know there are many more, when I think of them, I'll add them!

Peppercorns will definitely fit that number of people, and will do either buffet of sit-down. Depending on the day of the week, though, I'm not sure how far in advance you'd have to book it.

Aww, that's kind of sad about the Maine Maid Inn...I had my rehearsal dinner there about 5 years ago
