Re: what to eat?
WW meals have a lot of salt so be careful with that. Just eat how you normally would eat that is what I did

Re: what to eat?
honestly.....everyone is different. There are mommies to be on here that have eaten SO healthy and gained weight and there are those (like me) that did a combo of both...I tried to eat healthy but also indulged in ALOT of junk/cravings and I'm only up 22 lbs.
If you are of average weight to begin with, the dr's recommend you can put on 25-35 lbs. I was told by several nurses in my practice that once you crack the 20-25 lb mark, it's harder to take off.
My suggestion is not to obsess and let nature take it's course...the baby needs nutrition and a certain amount of goodies! Go for what you WANT in moderation. (With that...I went through periods where I ate ice cream every night for several nights in a row or I'd eat french fries with everything I ate for lunch or dinner)

Re: what to eat?
Honestly, I basically eat what I want, but I mostly want fresh fruits and vegetables. I try to stay away from junk food because I really want to watch my weight. I wanted to lose 25 pounds before I got pregnant and, well, that never happened!

Re: what to eat?
I've always eaten everything in moderation, and continue to do so now that I'm pregnant. I keep a food and workout journal to keep track of what I am eating too much of or not enough of. I think this has helped me tremendously.
I do a lot of WW foods because they are convenient, you can still do them, just make sure to watch the sodium and supplement with a lot of fresh veggies and fruits. I love the WW whole wheat bread!

Re: what to eat?
I mainly eat the same as before. I tend to eat healthy (Vegeterian) regardless. No fast food, junk food, fried food, soda or alcohol... Lots of fruits, vegetables, beans, pasta, rice, eggs, cheese and such.
I do love chocolate and potato chips though

Re: what to eat?
In the beginning, I really tried to eat "right", and then suddenly became physically ill at the smell, sight or idea of most of the veggies I used to love. That lasted about 3 months, and I can now get them down, but I have to force myself. I seem to really crave proteins -- meat and cheese all the time. I would say as long as you are eating sensibly, do what your body will accept. You can't make yourself sick for the sake of "eating healthy". Be sure to take your vitamins, drink your water, and do your best. Also with the WW products, besides the salt, watch the Nutrasweet. It really shouldn't be used while PG, but Splenda can be.

Re: what to eat?
I still eat ww bread. I stopped eating the ww meals because one, the sodium and two I just hated the idea of microwaving one of my meals daily while preggo. I just try to eat healthy as much as possible and I will eat junk food if I am craving it. Everything in moderation.

Re: what to eat?
I try to eat as healthy as possible. I make sure I eat veggies and fruit but I do indulge in some foods...like last night, I really wanted speghetti so I had speghetti. I try to buy organic foods and drink lots of water.

Re: what to eat?
I still try to eat healthy- its better for the baby- but I definiltey indulge myself- just in moderation. During 1st trimester, you only need 200 xtra calories a day- a glass of OJ. And water is very good for u.
