Gosh, what a set back!
I was sick for a week...I worked out a little but was I was in bad shape. Now a week later, I am still not 100% but trying to get back into my workout routine and it is so tough. I am having trouble with my heart rate sky rocketing with just a little exertion...what is this about. I am running, spinning and lifting through it but it worries me. I am having such a tough time...
Has this happened to anyone?

You're body is probably still recovering and fighting anything that puts it out of rest mode. Are you taking it slow? I know when I've gotten sick, it takes me about a week to get back into doing any time of fitness program and when I do, I feel like a beginner. It passes pretty quickly though. Maybe you should take it easy the next couple of days and really ease into it so you don't end up getting sick again or hurt yourself because your body's not ready.

I find that I can never do what I was doing before being sick for probably about 2-3 runs.
Whatever you are able to do is probably good. You can take it easy and do easy/junk miles or you can do a tempo workout and force the sickness out of you...LOL
