RCI Timeshare
I am looking to go to trade my RCI timeshare for Mexico - does anyone have any recommendations? We've been to Cabo already so maybe on the East coast instead? I definitely want a beach and a nice resort.
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Is the Mayan Palace Riviera Maya in the chain you mentioned?

No but DH and I were at the sister resort to Mayan Palace in Jan 08 (Grand Mayan) and we loved it! We had a very spacious one bedroom, the restaurants were very good, the pool was huge, the staff was friendly.
The only downside is that our building was about a 15 minute walk from the pool, but they had regular shuttles. As a NYer, I didn't mind the walk.
There is also so much to do in the area - we snorkeled in the Atlantic, toured and snorkeled in the cenotes, did that thing were you glide from tree to tree (name escapes me now), visited chichen itza, rented speedboats, rode atvs - I mean it was such a fun vacation!
I highly recommend the resort and the area!
Oh, the only thing is that Mayan Palace I think is older than the Grand Mayan so the accommodations may not be as nice. But I can't imagine that they are bad!
Try tripadvisor too for reviews.
