Re: Any runners hear this?
I'm training with Team in Training and the only way we can run with ipods during races is if we sign a waiver.

I thought this was always the case? for insurance reasons? but people wear them anyway.

I have been to races where you can not wear ipods - usually road races. If the race is in a park with no cars they usually let you wear them.

Re: Any runners hear this?
Five years ago when I did the half marathon at Eisenhower I ended up hearing that after the race; except I had a Walkman Technology has certainly changed! I cannot run without music, I hate to hear myself breathe.

It has always been the case for safety reasons, however many states do not enforce it. I wouldn't worry about it, I always do what I want...

I have never paid attention to it either - I remember the no walkman rule in the early 90s, but I still used it.
gosh those things were heavy! no wonder my arms aren't as strong today...LOL

Re: Any runners hear this?
I have heard it but I pay no mind to it. The races I plan on doing are only 5K's right now and I need music to run. What are they going to do, confiscate them all?
