Jen - counting my blessings...

So, had to buy a baby present this weekend..

Went to see my friend's 2 month old son...adorable & was good to see them and see the baby bc it gives me hope and something to look forward to!

BUT - before I went, I stopped at Macy's to pick up some onesies etc. OMG...good thing I had my sunglasses on bc of course I was all teary eyed looking at everything Chat Icon I desperately wanted to buy a newborn outfit just so I could have it to look at but I didn't want to jinx myself!

Psycho! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: So, had to buy a baby present this weekend..

I have a baby shower this weekend for my friend who struggled with IF also. She said I didn't have to go, but i am b/c I don't want to be that person who can't go. Been searching my self to see if I'm really OK with this and for some reason I am. Maybe b/c I know she struggled too and it give me hope that it can happen. But, I have not bought the gift yet (which is typical of me, so there will be nothing left by the time I do buy it). I guess that will be the true test of how I feel.

I think its Ok to be a little sad and I'm glad you went to see your friend and her new baby.

You are so strong! I bought my cousins baby shower (that I am not attending) gift on the internet and paid an extra $20 in shipping to avoid the store.

Chat Icon you wanted to buy one outfit... I have a few large bins of deluxe handme downs from my niece & nephew(bil sometimes throws out things so i took the clothes early rather then risk them being gone).... every couple of months when dh isnt around i crack open a bin and start looking at them and getting teary eyed

I totally understand! DH and I went to Babies R Us on Sunday to get my cousin some things (it's her 1st baby and she needs everything) well I was fine but once we got to the bedding for cribs and bassinets I lost it! I felt like the biggest loser! I don't know who I was kidding when I went there!

I usually order baby gifts online and have them shipped. I can't deal with store shopping.
