My family has been going to New Joy Garden in Cedarhurst forever!
They have classic Chinese food (which I can't find here in San Diego!)
The crunchy noodles with duck sauce... mmm!
We've tried many dishes there and have never been disappointed.
Staples for us are: Lobster Soong (sorry if I butchered the spelling), Beef with Scallions, and Young Chow Fried Rice.

There is one by MIL's house in Bethpage. I don't remember the name of it b/c I don't eat Chinese food, but iy must be good, the parking lot is always packed as well as the side street. It's in the shopping center on the corner of 107 and Courtney Lane in Bethpage.

Orchid in Garden City on Frankin, next to the UPS store on the corner of Stewart and Franklin. Voted best of LI a few years in a row. Average prices. Large parking lot. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
Very clean, very good service. You will love it.
you can try King Yum by St. Johns. They have Karaoke on the weekends and it's a lot of fun. Hard to park over here though. I much prefer Orchid.

this is good and fortune wheel too. both packed. very few non-asian people in both restaurants.

Hunan Dynasty in Levittown in the Tricounty Flea Market shopping center is my fav! So good and the service is great!

I second Orchid in Garden City ......... Love love love this place!!! I rec. the pu pu platter for two....they bring you a mini bbq & you heat the food yourself...any seafood dish is awesome and a zombie to drink.......yummmmmy

Is it really??? We LOVED Hunam (I started going there when I was 3!!) and have been to Hunan Dynasty and it doesn't taste the same at all, IMO. I know when Hunam was open they were not owned by the same person.

- the Chinese restaurant across from Macy's Manhasset on Northern Blvd(it's by a motel)
- I'm blanking on the name but it's on Francis Lewis Blvd & Willets Point Blvd in Whitestone, Queens right next to the McDonalds

The one that used to be right next to St. Bernards church was Hunam and they are closed  Hunan Dynasty is by Tri-County.

i think the one in Queens is called EVERGREEN. never been but pass by it all the time.
any chinese food, i usually go into flushing - can't beat the price and selection.
