Im gone without Ron...
This is my aunts best friend Ron. Ron is openly gay and has a partner for the last 20+ years. Ron is a great funny funny man. He did the meatings on Sunday Mornings in Wantagh and there was Standing room only! He had the highest # of member in his meetings and people would say they came from northport Queens Brooklyn I even remember a daughter and father coming EVERY WEEK to his meetings from MANHATTAN

And actually heard the story as to why the person complained and it's laughable.
But really If he had the highest amount of members at his meetings then 1 person complaining should be nothing. Last sunday when people heard he got fired they went to WW weighed in and then went and stood outside WW The lady that was there to "cover" from corporate had no one there.

Is that what happened to him??? I went this Sunday (normally go Friday) and everyone was asking about him. That is just terrible. I hope they bring him back.

That is a good question, and why everyone is protesting.
Ron was told by WW that he couldn't refer to his partner by his first name (bob) cause people would be offended. So he had to call him precious.
Unfortunately there are people out there who are homophobic and complain make things up about gay people to have them fired

Unfortunately sexual "preference" is not covered under the Civil Rights Act. So it is actually legal to discriminate in the workplace against homosexuals. I kid you not. Gotta love our society.
I understand why you are so angry!
When the universiaty absorbed my college they fired exactly 3 professors. All 3 were the only openly gay professors in the college. The new Dean who did all of this actually made some VERY inappropriate comments and gestures to them as well.
It makes me so sick.
Please keep us posted. I hope he can get his job back (or maybe another center will be smart and scoop him up!)
