Help in need of a pediatrician
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good ped. dr. in nassau. I live in Port Washington...but would be willing to use someone good in roslyn, mineola, garden city, manhasset...etc...PLEASE HELP!! Thanks ladies!!!!!!

We LOVE Dr. Lisa Forgione in Rockville Centre. She was recommended by my OB (he brings his three girls there) AND is the cousin of my DH's best friend from childhood.

I also live in Port Washington and go to ProHealth care in lake success. very happy with them.

I called and they accept my insurance. Did you get to meet them before deciding? I asked if they schedule consult appointments and was told no. Did you feel comfortable with this?

My husband's children from a previous marriage go there and his ex is a pediatrician (she doesn't work there) and she highly recommended them. so i did not meet anyone until the day after the twins were born when one of the pediatricians came to my hospital room. I really never met such a nice group of people. all the doctors and staff i have dealt with have been so friendly and caring. I wish i could find a doctor's office of my own like that.

Jen- Are there 2 different rooms-one for sick and one for healthy? Just curious. Also, did they do the Hep B shot in the hospital or during the first visit. Thanks! :)

The hep B shot was given to the twins in the hospital and there is only one waiting room.

I'm in Port too...and we go to ProHealth as well. We normally see Dr. Yan, but I've seen them all now and like all of them.

One waiting room, but if you have a newborn, or sick child, they'll usually at least get you in a room or at least out of the waiting area.
