I am not happy with my current pooping schedule. Chat Icon

AND... I think it's making me more bloated in the belly than I need to be.

You can take colace although that may just help with constipation as opposed to making you go more frequently.

oh how I understand your pain! I was so constipated that I wanted to cry! Fruits definitely helps, I drink a smoothie each morning, in addition to what seems like 15 gallons of water. I need to pee ALL the time, but now am much happier camper in the other department Chat Icon

Re: Is there anything we can take to, um, move things along?

I had been going very regularly-- as soon as I would drink/eat in the AM.

I switched my vitamin schedule to the morning-- because I was having problems taking at night (my nausea time)... I just realized I forgot to take them today-- so, I will try to take this evening and see if my schedule gets back on track. I wonder if that could be the cause... and I have prob been eating a little less fiber and drinking less water-- cause, it was just harder. I hope to remedy that soon though.

Funny you posted this, I am waiting for a call back from my doctor to see what I can take!! It has been so bad the past 2 weeks. I never had it this bad throughout the entire pregnancy.

the vitamins help with that. If you are taking them every day you should go to the bathroom almost every day or every other day.

I had this problem until I began eating two bowls of raisin bran or grape nuts every day. Like clockwork now!Chat Icon

I take Metamucil every morning. I started before I was pregnant and it's really helped/

I take mine at night and go in the early morning. I'll have a glass of water as soon as I wake up and a few minutes later it's showtime.

You'll never believe what worked for me...

DRIED APRICOTS!!!

I eat them because I love them, but I found that they have this oh-so-lovely side effect. I double-checked it online, and sure enough, just 1/2 cup can help you to "move things along" Chat Icon

Fiber and exercise! Those Fiber 1 yogurts are very helpful and a little walk here and there helps to move things along too. I noticed a dramatic difference once I started incorporating those things in my routine!

Raisin Bran works for me, and my dr. told me I could take colace too if I needed it.
