Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett
I just finished reading this, and it's incredible.....I really loved it. It's a HUGE book...almost 1000 pages, but it moves quickly. It was hard to get into at first, but once I did, I read for 2-3 hour stretches at a time because I couldn't put it down...it's epic!

One of my favorites. Ken Follett just published the sequel a few months ago; I haven't read it yet, but I"ve heard it's good as well.

I ordered it right after I finished this one! It's called World Without End...my friend says it's even better than POTE!

I know this is an old post, but I am reading this book and it's FABULOUS!! I am about halfway through and am totally addicted. I have loved it from the beginning, but it is breaking my heart right now. It is so upsetting at times, but well worth the read, I hope William gets his in the end!

I loved it too. I thought the first 200 pages or so were kind of slow, but after that I couldn't put it down.
I am waiting for the sequel to come out in paperback. I had it from the library in hardcover but it w as just to heavy to commute with!
